About the Film
In Oregon's Rogue Valley, the Mejía family has grown pears for four generations. When a new water policy threatens to cut their irrigation allocation by sixty percent, matriarch Elena must decide whether to fight the ruling, sell the land, or gamble on an untested crop. Shot over eighteen months, After the Harvest is a portrait of one family's reckoning with the slow collapse of the agricultural promise that brought them to America.
